Anthony Quinn Foundation Supports National School Choice Week

The Anthony Quinn Foundation lent its support to National School Choice Week, which took place January 22-28, 2012. National School Choice Week was dedicated to raising awareness of the School Choice programs in the United States, and encouraging more state governments to embrace this opportunity to allow parents to choose the school that best fits their children’s needs, rather than their budget or geographic location.

Foundation Scholarship Recipients Receive Citations from Mayor

Two of the Foundation’s 2011 scholarship recipients who reside in Providence, RI received citations from Mayor Angel Taveras at a reception at City Hall. The citations recognize their effort and dedication to the study of art.

Anthony Quinn Foundation Announces First Scholarship Awards at Rhode Island State House Ceremony

The Foundation received nominations from teachers and advisors of students from both North and South America and awarded six scholarships based on artistic merit that ranged from $1,000-$3,000 per high school student. Guests included Foundation leadership and many educators and politicians who support arts education including the following: Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts, Francisco Noya, RI Philharmonic Resident Conductor, Curt Columbus, Trinity Rep Artistic Director, among many others.

Anthony Quinn Sculptures Exhibited in Chicago

Sponsored by The Lynd Company, two large bronze sculptures by Anthony Quinn were exhibited during the grand opening of EnV Luxury Apartments in Chicago on the 28th floor rooftop. The city’s most anticipated and first LEED certified developments situated in the heart of River North.

The Grand Opening party took place on the rooftop with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, a Sofia fashion show, exhibition of sculptures by Anthony Quinn, tastings from chefs Kassie Rath of Theory & Ryan Poli of Perennial. Special performance by Tyson Ritter of the All American Rejects.

Anthony Quinn Foundation Announces Launch of Scholarship Program

Invites teachers, advisors, and instructors to nominate students that demonstrate exceptional talent and dedication in the fields of visual arts & design, performing arts, media arts, and literary arts.

The much anticipated Scholarship Program has been developed to financially assist individual young adults in grades 9-12 who wish to attend after school and summer arts education programs in the fields of visual arts & design, performing arts, media arts, and literary arts. Uniquely, scholarship recipients can apply Foundation funds to any accredited or recognized school, camp, or program throughout the world.
